Hello! Wonderful to see a website dedicated to Daventry and all things King's Quest. It's really cool. I've always been a fan of the many untimely ends for Rosella in her first time at adventuring. So I figured if you've gone through the kindness of having a forum, that I would participate by beginning a discussion on Rosella's many ways to expire after making a foolish mistake. My personal favorite is waking Lolotte near the end of the game, and watching her wake up and zap a VERY frightened Rosella into a pile of salt! Rosella is SO close to finishing her adventure, and one might say "things fall apart" right there at the end. Disintegrating is a pretty ultimate way for the princess to fail her quest. No wonder the game chides her for being "stupid for waking the sleeping witch" Oh boy, Rosella, that was REALLY foolish Anways, figured, I'd strike up this topic and see if anyone else has fun silly memories of Rosella's untimely ends.

Hey Rosellafan Welcome to The Daventry Chronicles. Thankyou so much for taking the time to post here, and begin this discussion. You're right, Rosella suffers through many, MANY disastrous deaths hehe. I think my favourite, is when the ogre catches her and prepares her for dinner. Roast Rosealla, anyone? Also love when the trees in the petrified forest kill her.

Thanks for the welcome Frodo! And thanks for the kind reception on the topic. Yes, Rosella does indeed meet MANY untimely ends. Maybe if they didn't make it so fun? LOL. I absolutely love when the ogre catches her as well! And it can happen SO quickly. One moment she is on the beach after Genesta leaves, walk just a few screens over... and, UH OH! Grabbed by her braids and dragged off to a boiling stew pot! Now THAT is a quick end for a foolish princess. A very frightening and fun failure for her adventures The trees are full of such GREAT puns, I'm sure Rosella dreads how OFTEN I make her walk right up to them What do you think is Rosella's most foolish death? Meaning, which one is the most her fault?

Oh, the trees are just hilarious. But it's SO much fun making her walk into that petrified forest. As for her most foolish death, probably when she opens Pandora's Box in the tomb. I mean, who opens Pandora's Box? What do you think is her most foolish death? BTW, love your new avatar and signature.

It IS very fun making her walk into the trees and getting grabbed And without a doubt, Rosella is so FOOLISH for opening Pandora's Box in the tomb. The game commentary perfectly commentates on her foolishness and one might say is quite deserving of her death from her stupidity. I think the look on her face when she wakes Lolotte might be the indication that she knows this is her most foolish mistake, but in an effort to credit a different game over from my favorite, I would have to say... turning off the lantern while she is in the cave. While it is already a dangerous place, the absolute FOOLISHNESS of extinguishing her light while in the middle of the cave, plunging her into immediate darkness is MOST deserving of how the game tells her that it is only a matter of time until the troll finds her in the darkness. THAT was not very smart, Rosella. Enjoy your last few frightening moments! And thanks, I'm so happy that you enjoy my new avatar and signature. One might say, I enjoy the humor of Rosella's more unfortunate moments and chiding the poor princess for her foolishness
